Living Beyond Your Feelings

Wednesday, October 18th, 2017

Living beyond my feelings contributes to my wellbeing, mentally, emotionally, physically and spiritually.  They all are key to a happy and healthy life.

Have you ever had several things to do, and they are all things you enjoy doing but can’t seem to get excited to do them?  Do your emotions play a roll in this?  Do your feelings contribute to it?  Does your personality have something to do with it? My guess would be yes to all three.

This is just one thought regarding how we manage to stay on task, accomplish our goals or stay focused for a certain amount of time to work on one project. To stay connected, and moving forward with peace and joy.

EMOTIONS are driven by many factors, it could be hormonal changes, stress, grief, illness, sadness, injury, loss, many more I’m sure I could come up with, but to name a few.

FEELINGS are those things I believe are driven by our thinking processes. If we think the right thoughts, encouraging, life breathing thoughts, healthy thoughts, I am convinced we can manage our feelings.  We may need help doing this.  Books are a great resource for us.

Personality https://hubpages.com/health/wheredoesourpersonalitycomefrom   Our personality is who we are.  We can love ourselves right where we are.  We can have hope and faith in our future.  We may have areas of our personalities that we would like to change.  Many of our personality traits can be influenced by hormonal changes. Chemicals in the brain, DNA, and they’ve even seen how personality types may have different size parts of the brain.

In my opinion if we decide we want change that is a first step. A desire to change can ignite that excitement that we need to  accomplish it.  Maybe not over night, maybe one step at a time but through a desire to want change and having the correct natural healthy behaviors to feed this decision I believe we can do whatever we desire to do.

Natural ways to accomplish better health, mentally and emotionally I’ve seen personally.  Because I am a woman.  As women we have many hormonal changes all through life.  Puberty, PMS, menstruating, perhaps having one or more miscarriages, I had one, infertility, pregnancy, and after delivering that wonderful new life, many women experience postpartum depression, or postpartum anxiety.  As we age we experience peri-menopause, this could go on for years before menopause. Then there is post-menopause.  With each of these could come a myriad of symptoms.

I have seen emotional aromatherapy work day after day.  The science behind how and why these aromatic compounds work is fascinating.  I am not a chemistry major so I won’t go into detail here.  But the science is available and it is thrilling that through a natural source we can get relief, rejuvenated, refocused, reformed, and renew our lives to feel better and be better acclimated to a new and better life.

This way of living is not a one time deal.  Just as we eat during the day, we need to apply our aromatherapy to ourselves, and diffuse them in our environments.  I believe ingesting these beautiful plant based essential oil compounds are essential to my wellbeing.  Those that are certified to be pure and of a therapeutic grade and have a Supplement Facts on them, these are the only ones I  recommended for ingestion.  These types of essential oils can also further our goal for living healthier and more balanced.  We can move beyond those feelings and can get on to what we really have a passion for.

I keep all of my essential oils handy throughout my day. I put a couple of drops of the Balance Blend on my feet when I arise.  The ingestible ones I use as I would my food supplements.  For instance in the morning, I ingest lemon in 8 oz of water, I also try to do this 3 more times during the day.  I take 2-3 drops of Frankincense on my tongue, later in the morning I ingest 2 drops of Copaiba.  I like the Slim and Sassy Blend as a metabolism booster and to take away sugar cravings.

Depending on how I feel, I use my emotional aromatherapy, I pick which essential oil I want.  If I need a bit more peace, joy and confidence in myself  I use the Jasmine Touch. If I’m having feelings of boredom or disinterest I use the Passion Touch blend.

  • Because Jasmine has such an uplifting scent, using Jasmine Touch on our pulse points is the perfect way to uplift mood. Emotionally, Jasmine promotes feelings of joy, peace, and self-confidence. Applying Jasmine in the morning will help provide a positive outlook on the day and leave you feeling uplifted and confident.
  • When feelings of boredom and disinterest take over, Passion Touch blend will help to rekindle feelings of excitement, passion and joy.

I diffuse essential oils for an immune boost, air freshener or a pick me up or all three in different rooms.  If you are looking for more of a blend for better focus, I suggest the Focus Blend it helps to enhance the senses and sustain focus, this blend is perfect for staying on task when you are trying to study, or concentrate on a project.   I use essential oils in my shower routine.  I have a diffuser by my bed and I diffuse the Grounding Blend, 4-5 drops and it runs for 8 hours. My favorite is the Grounding Blend, this blend of essential oils promotes tranquility while bringing harmony to the mind and body, and balance to the emotions.  I use Lemon or the Protective Blend essential oils in the kitchen for cleaning fruits, veggies and any containers that come in from the store before I open them, and I use some in cooking.  These precious gifts of the earth have added so much to my life for the past 13 years that I wouldn’t want to go a day without them, and I don’t.

I believe it is imperative to strive to have a healthy mind and body.  Even though we go through many emotional imbalances through life we can bring that back in balance with aromatherapy.
